What Do Customers Say About the Mailjet?

capterra.com

Positive reviews:

“Very happy so far, will continue using Mailjet for our small business. This is our first time using a mail service, new business, and we’re very happy with our choice.” – Richard F. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 10, 2025

“Always positive. I get a lot of great information from the variety of presenters. I always come away both happy and boosted in info.” – Kevilyn T. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 10, 2025

Negative reviews:

“We are a tiny startup with only 10 employees, and we used Mailjet for 2.5 years. Let me tell you, it was a complete disaster. Twice, our account was blocked for over a week with ZERO warning. Why? ‘Technical reasons.’ No human review, no consideration of our business. We only send newsletters and catalogs to clients or contacts who explicitly opted in, yet Mailjet still decided we weren’t compliant. If you’re thinking about using Mailjet to grow your business, think again. You cannot plan anything medium- or long-term, because your account can be frozen overnight for no reason. This is not a partner; it’s a ticking time bomb. Our data is top-notch: over 98% deliverability, engagement and click rates far above the industry average, almost no unsubscribes, and nearly zero spam reports. Mailjet doesn’t care. And if you think support will help? Think again. They take over a week to respond, leaving you completely stranded. My advice to any small business or startup: run in the opposite direction. Mailjet is unreliable, risky, and completely unsuited for anyone who actually wants to grow their business safely.” – Bertrand L. ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 19, 2026

“Oh, so much. Here are a few things that it falls short in when compared to other mass emailers: 1. Contacts management: You have very limited options in the way you want to upload / edit contacts. The multi-editing options are a joke, and there is no way you can send emails to some contacts in a list instead of all. Also, even to remove a contact from a list, you need to upload a CSV file! I mean, did they never use their own product after creating it? 2. The campaign editing options are extremely limited even in a paid version. Glad that I never paid them a buck. 3. Creating contact properties is a big pain due to the functionality. 4. Their email templates are a joke. 5. Extremely limited options when designing emails.” – Anonymous User ⭐☆☆☆☆

g2.com

Positive reviews:

“Mailjet is extremely simple and flexible, helping beginners to have an easy experience without any help. The app provides real-time collaboration, something that allows instant editing or commentary on an email template. The delivery of bulk emails is also well supported and status updates shared. The pricing for Mailjet is never a concern, making it straightforward. The program chips in to help companies conduct marketing through emails.” – Samantha L. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ February 2, 2026

“The tool is very modern and well structured. It provides a great experience for newcomers and beginners.” – Verified User in Graphic Design ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ July 31, 2025

Negative reviews:

“I bought a pack of 500,000 emails (over 500 €). After 320,000 sends, my account was blocked overnight, without prior warning, and I had about 180,000 unused credits left. Customer service keeps repeating that it is ‘non-compliant’ and refuses any refund or commercial gesture. Even an official list (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with contacts who had requested to be on it) was not accepted.” – Alexis V. ⭐☆☆☆☆ October 1, 2025

“I used many email marketing tools before and they have more sending limits than Mailjet. Mailjet has a 6k sending limit for free users. Also, they have limited HTML email templates.” – Verified User in Marketing and Advertising ⭐☆☆☆☆

getapp.com

Positive reviews:

“The free tier Mailjet offers comes with 200 emails/day, 6000 emails/month. When you upgrade to the essential package, you get up to 50k emails and features like segmentation and email verification for $35/month (10% discount annually).” – Nessma E. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2026

“One of the interesting features of this system is that you can send transactions and emails on the same platform.” – Sally K. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2026

Negative reviews:

“Would have kept using if customer support helped. But they lost me too much money from not being helpful.” – Mark T. ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2026

“The service is the worst ever, I’ve never seen a reply on my ticket coming and it has been a week since I’ve made it.” – Rian O. ⭐☆☆☆☆ 2026

glassdoor.com

Positive reviews:

“Great product created by an excellent team of email professionals.” – Email Deliverability Analyst ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Environment, transparency, training, salary is above average, flexible, human touch.” – Technical Account Manager ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Negative reviews:

“I would not recommend. Daily pressure and stress, no trust, don’t put you on the spotlight because the CEO does not like it. Goals are hard to reach, you should be extremely resourceful, do not ask for extra budget or raise. The CEO just likes a few people, talks badly to the others, gets them fired when he dislikes them, acts in a very autocratic and unprofessional way.” – Anonymous Employee ⭐☆☆☆☆

“The cons really outweigh the pros. I have never worked at a company that treats its workforce as badly and in such a disrespectful way as this company. I would seriously not recommend and I only stayed longer than a few months because I really needed the job. Constant levels of pressure and stress are a daily basis. The CEO has no interest in the human being and is totally insane; he only cares about money, making it the most unethical company I worked for. No trust, do not attempt to speak your mind or bring ideas because that will put you on the spotlight, and again, the CEO does not like that. Constant fear of getting fired and no job security at all. Objectives are extremely hard to reach, and that adds to the feeling of constant fear of losing your job (this is their only way to motivate employees). Everything changes from day to day, and there is a high level of miscommunication and disorganization. Do not ask for a raise. Do not think about growing unless the CEO likes you.” – Anonymous Employee ⭐☆☆☆☆

Positive reviews:

“At Channels, we use Mailjet as our go-to email marketing software. Mailjet is a fairly simple tool that doesn’t make email marketing more complicated than it should be. It has an intuitive interface along with all the analytic tools and options that a marketer may need. It’s not as robust as some other alternatives but, at the same time, it’s much cheaper than most of its competitors. All in all, it’s a great tool for startups and SMBs for email marketing.” – Jakub Kliszczak ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

Positive reviews:

“That this tool is an all-in-one solution. From email creation, testing, sending, and statistics. Great job.” – Arthur C. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 2025

“Very useful, would recommend to other firms to help further grow their businesses. I think the crash course would be an essential guide to running the system properly, as for a newcomer it can be very confusing.” – Ryan H. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 2025

Negative reviews:

“Blocking an account without notifying the account holder beforehand is an irresponsible practice. If there was a legitimate concern, we should have been informed and given an opportunity to address it rather than being abruptly cut off. This lack of communication and abrupt termination has created chaos on our end, and we expect immediate clarification and resolution.” – Bardh K. ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 2025

“REGRETS, regret et regrets : quelle perte de temps à se connecter tout simplement. Tout devrait bien fonctionner car je commence à bien maîtriser leur interface mais …. quand ça ne va pas : c’est …. REGRETS pour rester polie !” – DELBAR Brigitte D. ⭐⭐☆☆☆ February 2025

Positive reviews:

“I had an open ticket, and I was lucky enough to get Théo’s help on my call. I was able to make myself understood despite my limited English, and he handled the follow-up and resolution of the issue perfectly. Thank you, Théo!” – Inma ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 24, 2026

“I am using this for my hobby projects and it’s awesome. A 200 daily limit on the Free Tier is a nice number, but it’s easy to forget about it because on the dashboard there is only the monthly limit displayed. I contacted support about the issue and they responded within minutes with an explanation. Really nice support. I recommend.” – Erik Demko ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ March 26, 2026

Negative reviews:

“I found their website and wanted to try the service. I subscribed and uploaded my contact list, then I received a notification that the account was suspended. I contacted them and responded to some of their inquiries, but then I was surprised that the account was completely closed within less than 24 hours, even though we hadn’t used the service or sent any messages. They are not responding to emails at all. This means it’s a scam—they took the money and closed the account!” – Abdulrahman Yaqut ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 28, 2026

“During the setup, they strongly advise against using Yahoo and Gmail accounts for mailing. However, as you progress through the setup, you discover it’s not possible to use Yahoo or Gmail accounts as they are not accepted as part of the setup. Yet, at no point during multiple conversations with the help desk do they accept they provide conflicting and confusing information to potential new customers. It was a very disappointing experience.” – Liz H. ⭐☆☆☆☆ March 27, 2026

Positive reviews:

“We are using the Mailjet app to create unified email templates and to send them to our subscribers. Emails are triggered on certain actions from our customers and we send a different email for each action. We also use the Mailjet Analytics for better understanding of the utilization and the end user performance.” – Verified User ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“MailJet is used by our CRM provider to send emails. The service is engrained into many departments within our business and is used on a daily basis. This can be for both marketing and transactional communications.” – Verified User ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

Negative reviews:

“We have been using Mailjet for the last 3 years and have upgraded from their basic plans to gold plans. Their email delivery is fantastic. They basically have 2 pricing options: Entry Level for 450,000+ mails (Basic) and Premium Level for 450,000+ mails. Our work was going on with the regular plan of sending 450,000+ mails. Now, this week we got an email that they are decommissioning this plan and keeping only $400+ plans, which are almost 2.5 times our current plan. So when we talked to support, they told us that this plan was being decommissioned and they are keeping only the advanced plans as decided by management, with no option to keep our old plans or alternative similar plans. Really, I feel it is disappointing that a great email delivery service provider does such cheap things, in my opinion. Surely now until we get an alternative, we will be sticking to their services and have already downgraded our plans. Once we get an alternative at reasonable pricing, then bye-bye to MailJet. Now, I think many users like me who did not know earlier will suddenly see a high bill amount and will start posting negative reviews.” – Verified User ⭐☆☆☆☆

“I raised a ticket. It’s been four days and they won’t reply. So I raised another ticket asking why they are not replying. The issue was quite urgent. Then in a very short time, I saw the ticket was closed. So they have time to close my ticket, but they don’t have time or they don’t want to reply to a ticket. Very interesting. Their attitude of doing nothing is the worst and the rudest I’ve ever seen in my years of working with several email service companies. And I see that they blame this on the pandemic. But many other good companies, they are not doing this. Your problem is your problem, don’t try to blame someone else. So, please DO NOT buy it, consider others.” – Verified User ⭐☆☆☆☆

Positive reviews:

“We enjoy using it and it’s similar to Mailchimp, minus the price. It’s intuitive and the look and feel is pretty similar as well. At 1/10th the price… it’s well worth it.” – Jacob M. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Mailjet gives the best control and power to manage email marketing from its resourceful functions. The UI is very easy to understand. I also loved its customization to construct a flexible campaign.” – A Mailjet User ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  • Drag-and-Drop Email Builder
  • Email Templates Library
  • Email Automation / Drip Campaigns
  • List Management & Segmentation
  • Email Personalization
  • A/B Testing
  • Transactional Email
  • Landing Page Builder
  • Sign-Up Forms & Pop-Ups

  • Bounce & Unsubscribe Management
  • Email Analytics & Reporting
  • Multi-User Access
  • GDPR Compliance Tools
  • API & Integrations

Let’s take a closer look at what Mailjet delivers with each of these features.

Drag-and-Drop Email Builder

No code required – drag in whatever you need, arrange it, and you’re done. For anyone who wants to go deeper, HTML code blocks are right there. It’s the kind of editor that works whether you’ve never touched email design or you’ve been writing markup for years.

Email Templates Library

There are 70+ templates across different campaign types, which covers most situations without much hunting. The AI Template Generator is the more interesting part – point it at your homepage and it reads your brand colors and fonts to build templates that actually look like yours.

Email Automation / Drip Campaigns

The automation builder is visual and drag-and-drop, running multi-step workflows off contact activity, time delays, and conditions. Twelve pre-built templates handle the common stuff – welcome flows, re-engagement – and you can tweak a workflow while it’s live without it stopping mid-send.

List Management & Segmentation

You can add as many custom contact properties as you need, and those feed directly into segmentation without friction. Filtering by behavior, location, or engagement is straightforward, and there’s an AI segmentation layer for when you want more precision without building it manually.

Email Personalization

One campaign, different content for different people – that’s what Dynamic Sections do. No separate sends, no duplicated campaigns. If you’re on the transactional side, the Templating Language handles variables, conditionals, and loops for emails that genuinely vary by recipient rather than just swapping in a first name.

A/B Testing

Up to 10 versions run at once against part of your list on the Premium plan. You pick what to test – subject line, sender name, visuals, copy – and the winner goes to everyone else automatically once the results are in.

Transactional Email

Transactional emails go through SMTP relay or Send API, with libraries ready to go for PHP, Python, Node.js, Ruby, Java, and Go. Dynamic templates, real-time analytics, and webhook tracking are built into the same infrastructure – no separate sending setup needed alongside your marketing emails.

Landing Page Builder

Landing page creation appears as a listed platform feature in Mailjet’s official help documentation. It sits inside the Email Editor ecosystem, so you’re designing and publishing pages in the same workspace as your email templates rather than switching to a separate tool.

Sign-Up Forms & Pop-Ups

The Subscription Form Builder produces embeddable opt-in widgets that tie directly to your contact lists the moment someone submits. Double opt-in is the default, and custom fields mean you can ask for more than just an email address from the start.

Deliverability Tools

SPF, DKIM, and DMARC setup comes with step-by-step guides and automatic domain validation for common DNS providers. Mailgun-powered address validation runs before sends to catch bad addresses early, and dedicated IPs are on the table for anyone who’d rather not share sending infrastructure.

Bounce & Unsubscribe Management

Bounces, unsubscribes, and spam complaints get processed automatically – no manual cleanup on your end. A global exclusion list and Campaign Exclusion List run in parallel so suppressed contacts don’t quietly find their way back into campaigns elsewhere in the account.

Email Analytics & Reporting

Opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes, and spam complaints update in real time per campaign. The click heatmap and campaign comparison tools add more context, and if you’re already tracking in Google Analytics, there’s an integration so email data doesn’t sit in a separate silo.

Multi-User Access

You can add as many team members as you like, and each one will have their own login and set of permissions that control what they can see, modify, and transmit. Sub-accounts keep various clients or projects separate, and collaborative template editing lets more than one person work on the same email at the same time without getting in each other’s way.

GDPR Compliance Tools

Mailjet holds full GDPR certification, with all customer data stored on EU-based Google Cloud servers in Germany and Belgium. Data Processing Agreements are available on request, and right-to-be-forgotten requests are handled directly – support ticket or [email protected] – rather than sitting unacknowledged.

API & Integrations

The REST Send API and SMTP relay get you connected in minutes, with ready-built libraries for PHP, Python, Node.js, Ruby, Java, and Go. The Event API and Parse API add more capability for developers, and 80+ integrations cover CRMs, CMS platforms, and marketing tools – Salesforce, WordPress, and Zapier among them.
