If you’re heading to NYC for MailCon this year, first of all, we can’t wait to see you.

Secondly, you’re in for more than just world-class sessions and next-level networking. You’re landing in one of the most electric cities in the world, and whether it’s your first time or your tenth, there’s always something new to explore.

So if you’re extending your trip or just have a few spare hours between events, here are a few things worth checking out, and where you’ll definitely find some of us.

Where You’ll Find Us (Beyond MailCon)

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, a Broadway Show
Friday, August 1
A few of us are planning to wind down before the big day with some Broadway magic. If you’ve never seen Cursed Child, it’s an immersive, creative, and just a fun way to kick off your time in NYC. Grab your tickets here.

MailCon & The MailCon Mixer
Sunday, August 3 | 8 AM – 5 PM; 8:30 PM – 1:30 AM
We can’t wait to see you guys at our annual conference and networking Mixer. Grab your tickets here.

The Mailer Meetup
Monday, August 4 | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
A staple for performance marketers and email pros. It’s casual, high-signal, and a great place to catch up with partners and friends.

Affiliate Summit East (ASE)
Monday–Tuesday, August 4–5
ASE is always a strong complement to MailCon, and you’ll likely be running into familiar faces from the MailCon community here, too.

PMA Networking Brunch (ASE)
Tuesday, August 5 | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Hosted by the Performance Marketing Association, this brunch is a great excuse for some good chats with good people.

SMS Meetup
Tuesday, August 5 | 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
If SMS is part of your marketing strategy (or on your radar), this meetup is worth carving out time for. Expect strong conversations around deliverability, compliance, scaling, and what’s next for mobile engagement.

Want to Explore the City?

NYC is never boring. If you’ve got a few hours to spare, here are some easy go-to spots that are close enough to fit in without mixing up your schedule:

  • The High Line: An elevated park with art, food, and city views. Great for a morning reset or post-conference walk.
  • Edge at Hudson Yards: For the “wow” skyline photo and a little fresh air at 100 stories up.
  • Little Island: A beautifully designed floating park that’s perfect for a short break.
  • MoMA: You could spend a whole afternoon here, but even an hour delivers.
  • Brooklyn Bridge & DUMBO: Go early or late to beat the crowds. Grab a coffee and enjoy the views.

Or maybe you just want a solid spot to unwind? Here are two favorites we genuinely loved from last year’s MailCon trip. Yes, we’re probably going back.

  • Valerie: Stylish without trying too hard. Great cocktails, warm lighting, and just the right amount of energy. It was one of our favorite spots for winding down after a day out in the city; easy to pop into with a group or for a quick one-on-one catch-up.
  • Lillie’s Victorian Establishment: This place has serious charm. The space is filled with authentic woodwork and decor imported from a 19th-century Irish castle, and it feels like a totally different world. Cozy, memorable, and a great pick for dinner or drinks with fellow MailCon folks.

Quick Tips Before You Go

  • NYC in August is warm and humid; bring comfortable shoes and clothes, and stay hydrated.
  • Book any key meetups, shows, or dinners in advance.
  • And most importantly, if you spot a familiar face or a MailCon badge, say hello. The MailCon Community thrives on real connection!

See you in New York!
