We all love summer. The season is all about soaking up the sun and making incredible memories with those we love. But it’s also the perfect time for businesses to serve hot deals to consumers while also making a play at obtaining record-high conversions and revenue.

And there’s no better way to market to consumer audiences than through a well-thought-out, multi-channel drip campaign that touches on the characteristics and feelings people associate with the summer season.

This is applicable to marketers at all stages of the funnel — whether they’re looking to find new and effective ways to promote new arrivals into their summer collection or sell leftover merchandise from the spring or winter season.

With that in mind, let’s look at these three exceptional and conversion-focused email campaigns with a perfect mix of relevancy and product marketing sprinkled throughout their seasonal email campaigns.

1. e.l.f. Cosmetics: “30% off Summer Lip Lineup ?☀️”

There’s nothing better than the vibrancy of summer. e.l.f. Cosmetics got that across perfectly with their “Summer Lippie” email campaign.

Some highlights that we loved:

  • A subject line that speaks through emojis
  • How the summer theme is subtly carried throughout the title and body of the email
  • We cannot miss the impressive product marketing done in this email with the offerings of “hydrating,” “nourishing,” and “colorful” lip formulas — everything you’d need in a summer lipstick.

2. New Look Skin Center: “? Save on summer facials”

If there’s one way to describe this email campaign, it would be “straight to the point.” With clean graphic-to-text contrast, there’s nothing we don’t love about this summer email.

Some highlights that we loved:

  • The direct subject line sets the expectation to “receive a deal” straight away without subscribers having to open the email;
  • The use of “heat,” “sweat,” and “sun exposure” — all terms that invoke negative emotions many people associate with the summer
  • An educational snippet at the bottom of the email that further explains why the subscriber needs to take care of their skin in the summer.

3. Brooklinen: “our stuff is the COOLEST”

What’s not to love about a gadget or item that will keep us cool all summer long? In this email, Brooklinen highlights some of their products — everything from sleepwear to bedding and loungewear — that will help you combat the summer heat.

Some highlights that we loved:

  • Email title that’s just right: “Cool picks for hot weather” — straight to the point if you ask us.
  • Fun and relevant body copy: “warmer weather got you kicking off the covers?” — we’re already hooked on seeing the ‘magic’ product that will solve our summer struggles.
  • A central image that provides a peek into the type of products that are being marketed.

Summer Campaigns, Anyone?

Remember that when it comes to seasonal engagement emails, there’s no one-size-fits-all formula. Instead, what remains relevant is how you approach your clients — personalizing all of their touchpoints with your brand will always bring top results.

And don’t forget to use inspiration from the above campaigns to get your subscribers opening, clicking, and buying all season long.
